A 51-year-old man from Styria and his 44-year-old partner spent their skiing holiday in Nassfeld in Carinthia. While on the slopes on Monday, the 51-year-old suddenly complained that he wasn’t feeling well…
The two ski holidaymakers were just on a connecting path of the Millennium run in the Nassfeld ski area. “Suddenly, the 51-year-old stopped and told his partner that he was not feeling well,” the police said. “The Styrian fell while the 44-year-old was still calling the rescue services.”
The 44-year-old immediately began CPR efforts, supported first by doctors who happened to drive by and then by members of the police’s Alpine Task Force.
The emergency doctor, who arrived with the rescue helicopter C7, took over the further medical measures. Despite all these first aid measures, the 51-year-old could not be saved and died on the spot.
