Several people were injured in the early morning of this Wednesday Paris North Station, the station with the highest passenger traffic in Europe, in a knife attack by a man.
The Minister of the Interior of the Government of France, Gerald Darmaninexplained on his Twitter account what happened: “An individual injured several people at the North station this morning. He was quickly neutralized. Thanks to the law enforcement for their effective and courageous response,” the post says
According to the radio, France Info, the events took place around 06:40 when the attacker attacked several travelers in the station for unknown reasons. An officer neutralized him by shooting him and he was immediately arrested.
The state railway company SNCF has explained that the injured were evacuated from the station shortly after emergency services arrived at the scene of the attack. The area has been cordoned off while the train service is operating normally.
