A 25-year-old man severely damaged the door of his neighbor’s apartment in Vienna-Liesing early Saturday morning and then threatened the man with a knife. The reason for the act may have been disputes. When police arrived, the suspect attempted to conceal the murder weapon, but with little success.
The neighbor alerted the police around 5:30 a.m., officers were on the scene a little later. When the 25-year-old saw her coming, he ran up the stairs to find a hiding place for the knife. Then he returned without a weapon.
Breathalyzer worked
The hiding place was not very sophisticated: the officers managed to secure the murder weapon a little later. AreThe knife was a forbidden weapon because the handle also functions as brass knuckles. The suspect has been provisionally arrested, an alcohol test showed an alcohol level of 2.2.
An entry and approach ban has been issued against the 25-year-old. He was subsequently set free.
