A 60-year-old’s bike ride ended in hospital on Sunday afternoon. He collided with a 16-year-old cyclist on the bike path from Gais to Nenzing and fell.
The 60-year-old Schlins was on the cycle path mentioned around 14:15. Shortly after the Ill bridge he wanted to turn left. However, the cyclist had not done the calculation with a 16-year-old boy from Bludesch who wanted to overtake the older man.
The 16-year-old was unharmed
The turning manoeuvre failed miserably, the two collided and fell onto the asphalt. While the young man escaped without injury, the 60-year-old had to be taken to the Feldkirch State Hospital with injuries. There was no damage to the bicycles.
