105 Ukrainian soldiers have arrived in Poland to be trained on Leopard 2 main battle tanks. The President of Poland Andrzej Duda also attended.
This was announced by the head of the training group, Krzysztof Sieradzki, to reporters, as the Ukrainian online portal Evropeyskaya Pravda writes, citing the National News Agency of Ukraine Ukrinform.
“105 Ukrainian soldiers being trained for the Leopard 2 have arrived in Poland,” said Sieradzki at the tank training area in Sventoszów.
The training takes about a month
According to him, the training has been going on for a week and would take about a month in total. The Ukrainians work between ten and twelve hours a day. Since they already have experience driving tanks, it is easier for them to complete the training.
“Ukrainians learn quickly, it is not difficult for them to learn how to use military equipment,” the Polish army said. He did not rule out that later a new Ukrainian group would come to Poland for training.
Polish President Andrzej Duda visited the military training ground and revealed that after the training, the army can use, repair and maintain the war machine in combat.
