Accident drama in Upper Austria: A 53-year-old motorcyclist from Mondsee was so badly injured on Saturday afternoon in Scharfling that he died on the spot. His brother rode right behind him and had to witness the fatal fall.
Cruel: The older brother (54) was driving directly behind the 53-year-old when he came into a slight left turn on the right side of the road on the B154 from Mondsee at the entrance to Scharfling. He lost control of his motorcycle and fell – all in front of his relative.
The first aid came too late
His brother and other people who drove past and stopped immediately administered first aid and alerted the rescue team. That was at 3:20 PM. The emergency services arrived less than ten minutes later.
They tried to resuscitate the patient. The rescue helicopter “Martin 3” was already ready to fly the accident driver to the hospital. Unfortunately, that turned out to be no longer necessary: the motorcyclist could no longer be revived.
