A scare plan from the Labor Inspectorate has managed to extend the working day of 1,414 employees with partial contracts. Half of these irregular contracts were concentrated in the hospitality industry, followed by the trade and repair of vehicles and motorcycles.

Last September, the Anti-Fraud Tool detected potential fraud in 11,436 part-time contracts. Faced with this, the Labor Inspectorate of the Basque Country sent 1,946 letters to companies to regularize these contracts.

This initiative resulted in an increase in the working day of 1,414 partial contracts, 12.3% of the so-called irregular contracts.

Half of the irregular contracts were concentrated in the hospitality industry, followed by the trade and repair of cars and motorcycles, at 22.3%.

Per province, 309 affected contracts have been regularized in Araba, 888 in Bizkaia and 217 in Gipuzkoa.
