Two young people from the Völkermarkt district in Carinthia fired gas pistols at several windows of residential buildings in the municipality of Eberndorf on Tuesday afternoon. The 16 and 17-year-olds were arrested by police. For this, one of the emergency services had to fire a blank shot.
Because one of the young people did not stop at first and it was still unclear what kind of weapon they had with them, one of the officers had to fire a starting shot into the ground. The police reported this on Wednesday.
Teenagers carried drugs
During a personal search of one of the youths, weed herb and traces of other drugs were found and ammunition (steel bullets) and accessories for the gun were also seized. Both young people did not confess, they were set free.
