The Russian army again attacked Ukrainian cities with drones and missiles on Thursday night. One person died in Odessa and two others were injured. Anti-aircraft fire was also deployed over Kiev.
“In our zone, for which we are responsible, a heavy rocket attack on Odessa was registered in the evening,” Army Group South spokeswoman Natalya Humenyuk said Thursday. According to her, most of the missiles have been intercepted over the sea. “Unfortunately, there are also hits.” One person was killed and two others injured.
Anti-aircraft fire was also deployed over Kiev. According to the head of the Kiev military administration, Serhiy Popko, all air targets were captured by anti-aircraft fire and shot down. It was the ninth air strike since early May. “This time the attack was carried out by Tu-95MS and Tu-160 strategic bombers from the Caspian Sea using Ch-101/555 cruise missiles,” Popko wrote on Telegram.
Fire in Kiev
Rocket debris fell in two districts. A fire would have broken out in a garage complex. But there were no deaths or injuries. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed the information.
As reported, the capital of Ukraine has been attacked several times with missiles and drones in recent days. According to Russian information, a US-supplied Patriot air defense system was also destroyed. The US government only confirmed that the system was “slightly damaged”.
A few days ago, the city of Khmilnyk was attacked (see video above). Hundreds of houses were destroyed and about 30 people were injured.
