UGT Euskadi and the companies ISS and Zaintzen have reached an agreement that will benefit nearly 3,000 employees. The increase is retroactive to January of this year.
The cleaning staff of the Basque government will have a salary increase of 2.5%pursuant to the agreement between UGT Euskadi and the companies ISS and Zaintzen, this union reports today in a press release. The salary increase will be generally applied to the entire workforce.
So, approximately 3,000 employees They will benefit from the 2.5% increase, equal to that of the general table of public function, retroactive to January of this year.
UGT representatives assure that “this salary increase restores the dignity of the sector and prevents loss of purchasing power in the face of runaway inflation, something that doesn’t happen in other industries where other unions prefer not to sign agreements”.
For the union, which has a representation of 53.3% in this group of workers, not signing this type of agreement exacerbates “the loss of purchasing power due to inflation”, assuming “workers and laborers further impoverished“.
