A woman in the municipality of Batschuns in Vorarlberg had imagined differently during the first hours with her newly purchased used car. When she wanted to park her Mercedes-Benz in a hotel parking lot on Friday night, she made a fatal mistake.
A 40-year-old drove a newly purchased black A-Class Mercedes into the parking lot of the Gasthaus Waldrast in Batschuns on Friday evening and wanted to park her car there.
Vefatal operator error
According to the police, the vehicle made an operating error when maneuvering, after which the woman drove the car over the edge of a slope and fell about eight meters.
Total loss of the Mercedes
While the driver was very lucky and only slightly injured, the car she had just bought was a total loss. There was also property damage of an undisclosed amount to the hotel complex. The Mercedes had to be recovered with a crane.
