A veritable series of accidents caused a dizziness that a pensioner (73) from Leoben (Styria) suffered on Saturday behind the wheel of his vehicle. He sped across an intersection and busy sidewalk, smashed through a chain link fence, and finally fell over a concrete wall on the campus of a gas station. It’s a miracle no one else was hurt!
There could have been deaths! The pensioner was sitting on the B 116 when he became dizzy. He then lost control of his car, which was driving around almost driverless. At the intersection with the L 122 he left the road, drove through the flowing cross traffic and over a busy sidewalk. He then smashed through a chain link fence and fell over a concrete wall in the grounds of a gas station.
Thundered into a gas pump after it flipped over
But that was not the end of the horror ride: the car overturned and slid on the roof against the gas pumps. Again, there could have been serious injuries at the very least. Passersby came to the aid of the driver and dragged him out of the car and away from the gas pumps. He was treated by ambulance and taken to hospital.
