The fire brigade in the Tyrolean Landeck was called last weekend for a rather unusual operation. A parrot has run off and was sorely missed by its young owner. But suddenly the animal was sighted in a tree and the Floriani disciples went out with the revolving ladder.
The parrot, called “Sirin”, flew out of its cage during the day. Owners and acquaintances immediately started making calls on social media. The bird apparently sat for hours on a weeping willow in Urichstrasse. When night fell, the “escaped” parrot was finally seen.
“Woman” waited in the cage
At around 10 p.m., four members of the Landeck city fire brigade left with the revolving ladder. Firefighter Tobias was finally able to spot the flying “runaway” several feet up the tree, successfully capture it and then return it to his “wife” who was already waiting in the cage.
