Incredibly sad news comes from the Innsbruck clinic. One of those ten-week-old babies who plunged down a steep slope in Zillertal last week with their twin carriage died there on Wednesday. The car had become independent and could no longer be stopped.
The drama happened on the afternoon of May 26 in Ramsau in the Zillertal. The twins’ mom got her two 10-week-old babies ready for a walk and placed them in a stroller parked in front of her house. “While the mother left for a few seconds and stayed in the house, the pram became independent,” the police describe the course of the accident.
Both girls were thrown from the car
The wagon carrying the twins sped down a steep incline. The two girls were thrown out of the pram into a meadow. One of the children suffered serious injuries, the second was also injured. Both babies were flown by emergency helicopter to the clinic in Innsbruck. There the doctors lost the battle against death for one of the girls.
