Before that, the group of people traveled through the center of Vienna. Passers-by noticed them mainly because of their masked faces and their black clothing. The fireworks attack was carried out around 10:30 pm by 20 to 30 people.
The remains of fireworks were made safe
When the police arrived on the scene, the remains of the fireworks were found in front of the building. A heavily smoking lightweight packaging container was also found in the immediate vicinity. The suspects are said to have thrown two pyrotechnic objects into the yellow container, which severely damaged the container.
