On Wednesday evening, the fire brigade was called to a fire in the youth center in Leonding (Upper Austria). During the investigation it turned out that burglars started the fire.
“The investigation focuses on arson and burglary,” confirms the directorate of the state police when asked by “Krone”. The fire service was called to the youth center at around 11 p.m. on Tuesday. The emergency services of the three local fire brigades were alerted with the keyword “Brandhuis”. The fire was quickly located and brought under control by the larger contingent of emergency services.
The building was then ventilated, burned material was brought outside and finally extinguished there.
Perpetrators are on the run
Subsequent evidence showed that the youth center had been burgled before. A chest and the small cash box were broken open and the money from the cash box was stolen. The perpetrator or perpetrators are fugitives. Police investigations are ongoing.
