Major commotion during the weeks of protest of the last generation in Innsbruck: a doctor was stuck in a traffic jam with her electric car (!) for half an hour before breaking her collar. She got out and yelled, “Get out of the way now. Let me through.” The climate activists hesitated!
“They said they let medical personnel through. And now you show me my patients. On the spot. But immediately,” the angry doctor said in the direction of the climate activists. The vortex originated early Tuesday morning at the Sonnenstrasse/Höttinger ramp intersection. A witness captured the scene on video.
“Do you still remember that?”
The activists sitting on the road looked surprised at first. “It’s brutal, there are sick people waiting and you’re on the street,” the angry doctor continued. The climate activists initially remained seated, appearing to consult internally. Meanwhile, other passers-by also shouted to those who blocked them: “You’re still thinking about it, aren’t you? Get up! Not even letting a doctor through…!”
Blockade despite electric car
The doctor had previously been stuck in a traffic jam for half an hour, the “Krone” learned. Curious detail: she also drove an electric car! After some hesitation – probably also from the angry passers-by – the climate activists finally cleared the street and let the doctor through.
Doctor had to identify himself
A similar incident also occurred on Karl-Innerebner-Straße in Innsbruck on Tuesday morning. There, a doctor first had to identify himself with the climate activists in order to be allowed through. The last generation posted a video of this on their Twitter account (see above).
Dozens of ads in two days
A whole wave of protests of the last generation is taking place in Innsbruck this week. After the intersection in the Haller Strasse/Anton-Rauch-Strasse area was blocked on Monday and even the entire Hötting district was paralyzed on Tuesday, the climate activists appeared again on Wednesday morning in various places in the west of the city. There were 50 ads in the first two days alone.
