Innsbruck protest wave – Day 4: Activists with protests on the Inn Bridge

Also on Thursday, activists of the last generation in the Tyrolean state capital caused serious traffic delays in the early morning. This time it hit a ramp into the center of Innsbruck. The requirements remain the same.

After crossing into the area of ​​Haller Straße, the Hötting district and again in the west of the city on Wednesday, the protest action of the climate activists hit the city center on Thursday. Numerous activists have been protesting on the Inn Bridge in the old town since the morning hours. “We interrupt everyday life with fossil fuels to wake up society,” the activists said on social media. Your demands were the same as in recent days: 100 km/h on the highways or a ban on new oil and gas drilling.

Traffic chaos is unlikely
However, no one remained on the roadway, police spokesman Stefan Eder told APA. The consequences for traffic are not so serious this time, as the other bridges over the Inn are open. So there is no reason to cancel the action. The traffic load is therefore divided between Innstrasse and Innrain.

Numerous advertisements
Due to the meetings of the past few days, the activists have already received numerous complaints. While there were 30 on Monday, 20 more were added to the campaign on Tuesday.
