On Friday evening, a dangerous situation arose in Vienna at the U4 station Schönbrunn. A 48-year-old had simply parked his rented e-scooter on the track after he no longer wanted to drive it.
Before that, he was on the track with his e-scooter, driving from Meidlinger Hauptstrasse to Schönbrunn station. Arriving at the station, the metro also stopped, could not brake in time and drove over the e-scooter.
Slightly injured
The 48-year-old jumped to the side in time, but was slightly injured. If that wasn’t enough, according to the police, he had previously set fire to several objects on the track and then watched what happens to them when the subway arrives.
Shown several times
Observant witnesses immediately alerted the emergency services. The fire brigade extinguished the fire, removed the 48-year-old from the track and salvaged the badly damaged e-scooter. The 48-year-old was taken to hospital and treated there. He refused a medical exam to diagnose a drug disorder. He has been reported several times.
