A terrible accident happened in Höchst (Vorarlberg) on Sunday. A car collided head-on with an oncoming cyclist while overtaking on a left bend. The 61-year-old cyclist suffered injuries of an unknown extent. The rescue brought him to the LKH Bregenz.
The 72-year-old driver was driving on Rohrstraße from Höchst towards Heldernhof at around 1:30 p.m. when he overtook a cyclist in a left turn. He collided head-on with a 61-year-old cyclist who met him on the street.
Thrown to the ground
The cyclist was then thrown against the windshield and then onto the ground. He sustained injuries, the seriousness of which was initially unknown. The emergency doctor and rescue services treated the man on the spot and then took him to the state hospital in Bregenz. Both the bicycle and the car were badly damaged in the accident.
