Naked, bleeding and very aggressive, a 24-year-old stormed into the streets of Vienna’s Favoriten district on Sunday evening. When the police tried to stop the Slovak, who was under the influence of drugs, he went completely crazy. An officer was injured.
The 24-year-old had taken drugs in an apartment and then became so aggressive that his friends fled from him. The Slovak then stormed onto Laaer-Berg-Strasse – completely naked. The man was also bleeding from his arms. He may have previously inflicted the cuts on himself while under the influence of drugs.
Pepper spray used
When the police noticed and addressed the man around 2:45 a.m., he immediately showed extremely aggressive behavior. Officers had to use pepper spray to resuscitate the angry man. He was then handcuffed and ankle cuffed. The 24-year-old was taken to hospital after emergency care.
The knife, with which the man may have injured himself, was later secured in the apartment. A police officer sustained a hand wound during the arrest. He had to be treated in hospital and was unable to continue his shift.
