The Russian army attacked several cities in Ukraine with drones and missiles on Tuesday night. In much of the country, sirens warned residents of air raids for hours. According to the first Ukrainian information, 28 out of 30 drones were shot down. There were initially no reports of deaths or injuries.
“Another massive airstrike on the capital,” Kiev military administrator Serhiy Popko wrote on Telegram. About 20 enemy targets were identified and destroyed in the airspace around Kiev. Several hundred kilometers further west in Lviv, “critical infrastructure” was hit and a fire broke out, the military administration said. The city had 700,000 inhabitants.
The military administration of the southeastern region of Zaporizhia said the Russian army had fired on telecommunications infrastructure and farmland. It was an attack with seven Russian missiles.
Ukrainian forces allegedly attacked the occupied town of Nowa Kakhovka near the destroyed dam in the southern Kherson region with kamikaze drones, according to the Russian news agency TASS. Three civilians were injured. The information cannot be independently verified.
