A tragic accident took place on the site of Energie Steiermark in Graz on Tuesday afternoon. According to the first information, a gas cylinder may have exploded in an experiment carried out by employees of the TU Graz. Two people were seriously injured and another was slightly injured.
Numerous emergency vehicles on Tuesday afternoon on the grounds of the E-Campus of Energie Steiermark in the Neuholdaugasse in Graz. The reason for the operation was a tragic accident in which three people were injured – two of whom were clearly serious.

It is known that the Graz University of Technology has leased the affected space and is conducting research into the prototype flywheel storage system there. A gas cylinder is believed to have exploded. The three injured are employees or students of TU Graz – employees of Energie Graz were not present at the tragic incident.
