German automotive multinational Volkswagen has announced an investment of 52.5 million euros in a new press at the factory Landaben (Pamplona) and has confirmed that the plant will produce two electric models.
The announcement was made in the context of the Volkswagen Navarra Board of Directors meeting, which was held on Friday and was chaired by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Landaben plant, Christian Vollmer.
In a statement, the company emphasizes that this new investment represents another strong step towards a new future electrificationwhich guarantees self-sufficiency from 2026 and thus consolidates the industrial project of the plant”.
The announcement comes after Volkswagen Navarra’s management and the union majority (consisting of UGT and CC. OO., with 21 delegates – 67% of the committee) agreed on a provisional agreement on the collective labor agreement.
