The spokesman for the Ertzaintza trade union action unit, Iñaki Uraga, pointed out that the Basque government’s proposal is “the same proposal that caused the trade union centers to rise from the table”. For example, he has indicated that they will continue with the mobilizations.
Ertzaintza’s trade unions have expressed their disappointment with the Security Service’s negotiation proposal “because it is the same thing” that led to the break off the negotiations and “it has expired”, so they will keep their mobilizations.
In order to channel the labor dispute that has broken out in the Ertzaintza, the Basque government this morning issued a new proposal including 37 measures to improve the working conditions of ertzainas, including the increase of 10% in the allowance for night, weekend or holiday work and 20% in the number of overtime hours on days off.
The spokesperson for the Ertzaintza (ErNE-ESAN-SIPE) trade union unity Iñaki Uraga (ESAN) denounced that the Basque government’s proposal “is not new” and “had already been presented before, not only in the final tables” of negotiation, “but it is from the year 2019” and “it has expired”.
In fact, he added, “it’s the same bargaining proposal that caused the unions to get off the table.”
The proposal is known one day after the announcement trade unions and the collective Ertzainas and Lucha have agreed to mobilize together to demand the renewal of the regulatory agreement, both this week in front of parliament and on the 29th in Bilbao when the Tour de France is presented.
So Uranga has stressed that they will continue with the announced mobilizations in the coming days. For example, they have indicated that they will continue with the mobilizations.
