Big shock – case Jeanette (19): where is the cowardly death rider?

Date:

Dismay and anger prevail after the fatal traffic accident with two collisions in Mattsee (Salzburg). 19-year-old Jeanette died on L101 after being hit by a BMW X3 and then run over by another motorist. The BMW driver turned himself in hours later. The unknown driver is still on the run. Locals now hope: “Maybe he will ease his conscience!”

It makes you sad, angry and speechless. There is still no trace of the second driver involved in the accident drama on the L101 near Mattsee. As reported, 19-year-old Jeanette did not come home from the national youth festival on Saturday evening.

A 24-year-old Innviertler passed her with his BMW X3, Jeanette remained injured. The young man did not report until the next morning after parts of his wing mirror clearly pointed to his car. The second driver involved is still covered today. The Mattseer wonder about the “Krone”: “Who does such a thing? You must be aware of that. What kind of person is that?” Another says: “To me, that’s just a coward. An accident can happen. But driving away is disgusting.”

Great condolences
In addition to the anger about the fleeing motorist, there is sadness and dismay in the municipality of Flachgau. People continue to come to the scene of the accident, light candles and lay flowers. Her hope: “Maybe he’ll ease his conscience and turn himself in anyway.” By the way: the perpetrator would not only serve his conscience by reporting the crime himself. He may also hope for a reduced sentence.
