A violent incident took place in Wiesing (Schwaz district) in Tyrol on Thursday morning. A truck got stuck with the trailer while driving through a tunnel. The vehicle lifted, the driver fell out of the side window and was injured.
The 31-year-old resident had come out of a company exit in Wiesing around 8 a.m. with the truck with the dump truck extended. When he wanted to go through an underpass, his dump truck got stuck on the portal. The force of the impact jerked the truck and driver’s cab upwards.
The driver fell from a great height and was injured
The driver fell out of the driver’s cab through the open left side window and hit the asphalt from an unknown height. He was seriously injured and was first taken to the hospital in Schwaz and then transferred to the clinic in Innsbruck. The truck sustained heavy material damage, the tunnel portal was slightly damaged.
