Spectacular scenes took place in Innsbruck on Tuesday evening: after a driver was targeted by a police patrol because of his driving style, he accelerated and fled. During the chase, the violent man lost control of the car, which he had been using without permission, and crashed into a garden gate.
Shortly after 2:30am, the suspect – a 22-year-old Italian – caught the attention of a police patrol after driving the car “jerking and with a roaring engine” across the Grenoble Bridge in the east of the city.
The escape ended in a crash
The officials actually wanted to remove the driver from circulation. But he wasn’t impressed by the blue light and tracking horn. The suspect pressed the accelerator, fled onto Haller Strasse and then turned onto Col-di-Lana-Strasse. The escape ended abruptly there.
Unauthorized use of the car
“The driver lost control of the wheel and crashed into a junction box and a garden fence,” the detectives said. The “completely overtired man” does not have a driver’s license. And it wasn’t his car at all. He had used it without the permission of an acquaintance. Appropriate advertisements will follow.
