A crash on a summer toboggan run in Lienz in East Tyrol had devastating consequences on Friday. There were several other rear-end collisions as a result of a collision. A total of 16 people were injured, some seriously. An investigation is underway into the exact cause of the accident.
The accident happened around 2:30 p.m. Friday. For unknown reasons, a collision occurred. As a result, there were numerous other rear-end collisions. Police say 16 people were involved. “A 78-year-old German was taken to Lienz hospital by the rescue team with suspected broken ribs or a broken hand,” the researchers say. However, a local (55) suffered a cut above the eye.

“Several other people complained of pain but refused medical attention,” the executive said. Further investigation into the course of the accident will follow. A report is then sent to the Innsbruck public prosecutor’s office.
