Fatal accident Monday afternoon in Trins in the Tyrolean district of Innsbruck-Land! A car driver (25) collided with the e-bike of a boy (8), who suddenly drove her in front of the vehicle. The child had to be taken to hospital by air ambulance.
The devastating accident happened just after 4 p.m. The 25-year-old drove her car east on L10 Gschnitztalstraße. Suddenly the boy rode his e-bike, coming from the Greitensiedlung, straight ahead of her into the street.
“The driver was unable to stop the vehicle in time, causing the collision,” police said.
Driver and passerby provided first aid
The child suffered serious head injuries in the accident. The driver and another passerby immediately rendered first aid. The eight-year-old was flown by ambulance helicopter to the Innsbruck clinic.
