forest fire prevention
Eight fire brigades in Hagenberg im Mühlkreis had to carry out the most delicate operation. The flames in the field threatened to spread to the adjacent forest. But the Floriani disciples were able to prevent this: they quickly brought the fire under control.
Field fires also broke out in Schardenberg in the Schärding district and in Münzbach (Perg). Fortunately, no one was injured, according to the fire service.
Train route closed
Shrubs, bushes and meadows were already on fire next to the railway in Gunskirchen in the afternoon. Although the fire was quickly extinguished, rail traffic on the western section between Gunskirchen and Wels had to be interrupted for about an hour. There were significant delays.
