Stand-up paddler at the last minute saved the man from drowning

An observant woman from Styria (36) literally pulled a distressed Lower Austrian out of the lake on her board at the last minute and brought him to the shore.

A 39-year-old from the Krems district owes a stand-up paddler that he is still alive. The man became dizzy while swimming in Stubenbergsee in Styria and threatened to drown. However, the 36-year-old noticed the life-threatening situation and immediately rowed towards the person in need.

39-year-old in hospital
Just before he went under, she was able to grab his arm and pull him onto her board. The 39-year-old was conscious when he received first aid. Then a rescue helicopter took him to the hospital in Graz.

Look for first responders
Although the lifesaver is known in this case, another Lower Austrian is still looking for her hero. The woman had a serious traffic accident in Pinggau, Styria, on May 30, when she hit a truck at the end of the traffic jam. A man pulled her and her two boys out of the car and cared for them until rescue arrived. Then he was gone: “We just want to thank you!”

At the request of the relatives, the fire service is also looking for the emergency services of the fatal accident on the Mistelbach ring road, in which a 16-year-old died. Two teenagers survived because strangers quickly pulled them out of the car. It caught fire shortly afterwards.
