In 2025, the Netherlands will host a NATO summit for the first time. According to the alliance, it follows the major three-day anniversary summit that will be organized in the United States next year to mark the 75th anniversary of the Defense Alliance.
This was decided by the heads of state and government of the 31 NATO countries on Tuesday at this year’s summit in Lithuania.
According to diplomats, it has not yet been decided where the summit meeting will be organized in the Netherlands. There are a number of suitable locations in the country. The NATO summit will be held in the Netherlands for the first time.
The US summit will take place in Washington from 9 to 11 July 2024. NATO was founded in 1949 in the US capital by the US, France, Great Britain and nine other Western countries.
