A 72-year-old denies that she has drastically trimmed her neighbor’s hedge and caused damage as a result. For the third time, the resolute woman from Burgenland, who defends herself, appeals to the court.
For the regional court in Eisenstadt, it has now been clear for three sessions who the murderer is – to do justice to modern language. But: “My state of health does not allow me to do such a thing,” said the 72-year-old, who reportedly trimmed the neighbor’s emerald thujen in Donnerskirchen to allow emergency services access as freely as possible.
“Like in a Bunker”
Because the privacy screen had holes over a length of ten meters and the thujas would be replanted, the neighbor had claimed about 6,000 euros in compensation, according to a landscaping company. Yesterday, the resolute pensioner defended himself again in court after two appeals: “I was in a bunker and had no view. But it wasn’t me.”
Of the original 6,000 euros, 1,232 euros remained after the ruling, plus 320 euros for material damage. No chance, the lady appealed again.
