In a death after a fight in Schattendorf (Burgenland) in December last year, two young people were charged with attempted serious bodily harm. The charges are not yet final, so there is no trial date yet.
Dramatic scenes took place on December 18, 2022 in front of a discotheque in Schattendorf. The trendy bar only opens once a month for special occasions. A Merry Christmas was the order of the day this weekend.
Brutal brawl in front of disco
A club round should not miss this spectacle. Late at night, however, a wild quarrel broke out in front of the entrance. It was an innocent altercation at first, but it quickly escalated. As reported by visitors, an 18-year-old allegedly attacked a family man from the club. “The young guest brutally hit the man on the forehead with his fist,” it was later reported when asked. The 42-year-old victim Jürgen T. collapsed and lay motionless on the floor in front of the inn.
Victim died in hospital
The 42-year-old succumbed to his injuries in hospital. The autopsy showed that the man died of a cerebral hemorrhage caused by a ruptured aneurysm. The beatings of the two suspects should not be the cause of this.
Two youths charged
The 18-year-old Syrian, who lives in the Neunkirchen district, has now been charged with attempted serious bodily harm. At the time of the crime, the 16-year-old from Burgenland was charged with willful attempted grievous bodily harm and theft.
