In a scuffle between drivers, a 19-year-old and a 43-year-old injured a 25-year-old on Sunday evening in Vienna-Floridsdorf. According to police spokesman Mattias Schuster, road users collided shortly before 0:30 am on Floridsdorfer Hauptstrasse. The 19 and 43-year-olds, both from Iraq, beat their opponents with a fist knife and a hammer.
A misunderstanding was probably the cause of the dispute. The victim was injured and received emergency care from professional ambulances before being transported to hospital. There was no danger to life. Officers from the service dog unit found the fist knife in a bush.
Attackers got a display
The two perpetrators have been reported, the 19-year-old on suspicion of intentionally inflicting serious bodily harm and, in accordance with the Weapons Act, the 43-year-old on suspicion of intentionally inflicting serious bodily harm.
