A food delivery man was the victim of a robbery half an hour before midnight in Vienna-Favoriten on Monday: the man was cycling to the next delivery when he was suddenly stopped by three strangers. They would have immediately beaten the supplier and then fled with the contents of the bag.
At around 11:30 p.m., police officers were called to Keplerplatz in Favoriten. Once there, the officers not only found the victim, but also two suspects were quickly identified. The third alleged perpetrator is still on the run.
Liquor bottles were found
The men – two of whom are from Algeria (25) and Morocco (19) – behaved upset and aggressively during the official act, the Vienna police reported. Several stolen bottles were found during the house search.
Food delivery driver only slightly injured
“They have been provisionally arrested and are in police custody,” the Vienna police said. The supplier was only slightly injured in the incident. The search for the third perpetrator is still ongoing and the Viennese Criminal Investigation Service – Southern Department is in charge of further investigation.
