Bloody attack on police officers in Germany: A 28-year-old Syrian attacked three officers with a broken glass bottle at Nuremberg Central Station on Tuesday night. A police officer can no longer serve until further notice.
According to the German newspaper “Bild”, the man shouted “Allahu akbar” (English: God is great) several times while attacking the officers. However, a suspicion of Islamism has not yet been confirmed, according to the police. The investigation continues, the homicide squad has taken over the case.
The officers all suffered lacerations and a 23-year-old police officer is off duty. The attacker will be brought before the investigating judge on Wednesday.
