She wanted to turn her moped and must have missed a car – a 16-year-old girl from Alkoven (Upper Austria) was thrown against the windshield of the car. She fell injured on the road.
The accident happened around 6:30 a.m. Monday morning. The 16-year-old was riding her moped on Bäckerstrasse in Straßham. At an intersection, the young woman wanted to turn left – then she crashed.
Hit the car at a right angle
The moped rider may have overlooked the car of a 33-year-old and collided perpendicular to the car, after which the 16-year-old was thrown against the windscreen and then ended up on the road.
Injured in the accident hospital
The Eferding Red Cross took the moped rider to the accident hospital in Linz. The 33-year-old driver of the car was not injured. Incidentally, considerable material damage was caused to both vehicles.
