A spectacular accident happened on Monday evening in Achenseestraße in the Tyrolean district of Schwaz. A 33-year-old Croatian overturned his car and landed on its roof. He was able to climb out of the car himself, which lost liters of fuel.
The accident happened around 8:40 p.m. in the municipality of Achenkirch. For unknown reasons, the rear of the 33-year-old’s vehicle broke apart, causing him to lose control. The car flipped over before coming to rest on its roof in the road.
The driver was alone in the car and was able to free himself after the accident. The rescue service took the injured man to the hospital in Schwaz after first aid.
Accident car lost fuel
The car was badly damaged in the accident, including the tank. As a result, several liters of fuel escaped, which the fire brigade had to bind. That is why the B181 remained closed for about three hours after the accident.
