In Graz, a major search has been underway since Sunday afternoon for a woman who sank in the Mur. Several passers-by had previously seen the woman floating in the river. Police are now looking for clues based on shoes that may belong to the previously unknown woman.
Around 1 p.m. on Sunday, numerous police patrols in Graz moved to the Mur after several passers-by reported that a woman was floating in the water. According to witnesses, it sank into the river just in front of the soap factory.
Police, water rescue service and professional fire brigade Graz immediately started a large-scale search – from bridges, on water and by helicopter and drones from the air. So far the search has been in vain.
Shoes found on the coast
Police officers found women’s summer shoes and a can of energy drink on the bank near XXXLutz on Karlauergurtel. According to witnesses, these items belong to the previously unknown woman.
