Sad news from the Innsbruck clinic: The 38-year-old motorcyclist who collided head-on with a truck in the Tyrolean Ötztal valley at the end of July has now succumbed to his serious injuries.
The fatal accident happened on July 31. The 38-year-old resident was riding his motorcycle on the B186 Ötztalstraße from Sölden in the direction of Gurgl when he avoided a construction site-related traffic jam and collided head-on with an oncoming truck.

The motorcyclist was then trapped between the truck and a car and was resuscitated at the scene of the accident. He was then flown by emergency helicopter to the clinic in Innsbruck, where he succumbed to his serious injuries.
