The heat of the holiday erupted in thunderstorms across Tyrol in the late afternoon and evening. There were mudslides in several cities and many fire brigades were deployed. According to initial information, there was no major damage.
A mudslide occurred in the hamlet of Scheibe in the municipality of Neustift in the Stubai Valley: material slid over a meadow and slid onto a road. Fortunately, the landslide stopped near an adjacent hotel.
A mudslide also broke out in the Pitztal near Mittelberg just before the glacier, and when the emergency services were alerted, there were initially two possible victims. Fortunately, according to media reports, this message did not materialize.
