Strange attack in the capital of Germany: a chief inspector of the Berlin police is suspected of attacking a driver and stealing 57,000 euros.
The incident happened on July 19. According to the public prosecutor’s office, the 48-year-old would have driven his company car on the city highway with an unknown accomplice and stopped his victim (62) with a police trowel near Messedamm. The officer also carried his service weapon in a holster, giving the impression of an ordinary check.

The 62-year-old was said to have been handcuffed during the check. The police officer and his accomplice searched the car and stole several mobile phones in addition to the 57,000 euros. According to a report from “Bild”, the duo should be aware of the money transport.
