Head injury – Two children hit by cars in Bregenz

Date:

Two accidents occurred in Bregenz, in which a two-year-old girl and a six-year-old girl were injured. Both children suddenly appeared in front of the vehicles. Neither the 44-year-old driver, nor a student driver and his instructor were able to brake in time.

The first accident happened on Friday around 4 p.m. in the Bregenzer Brielgasse. The motorist (44) was on his way to Bregenz Vorkloster when the two-year-old suddenly appeared between parked cars at 27 Brielgasse. An evasive maneuver by the driver to the left was to no avail. The child hit the car and fell on the asphalt. He suffered a bleeding head injury that required treatment at Bregenz hospital.

As the police reported on Saturday, there was already a serious traffic accident on Bregenz’s Rheinstraße on Monday evening. There, a student driver was driving towards Hard with his driving instructor when a six-year-old girl suddenly ran between the stationary vehicles to reach the gas station across the street. However, the child was hit head-on by the driving school’s car and flung onto the roadway. The little girl suffered a broken forearm, a laceration to the left skull, a concussion and numerous abrasions.
