The corona vaccination from the age of 18 in Germany will not come: the variant preferred by Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Health Minister Karl Lauterbach did not find a majority in parliament. The previous advocates now invoke mandatory vaccination for people over 50.
After plans for mandatory corona vaccination from the age of 18 failed, the over-50s are now at the center of the plans. According to “Mirror” information, the chances of such a model are considered good in government circles.
No deal so far
In the talks between the SPD and the Union, no compromise has been reached so far. In the Bundestag, the trade union faction CDU and CSU had submitted an application for a vaccination law, which also provided for the establishment of a vaccination register.
However, attempts at rapprochement between the Union and the SPD were unsuccessful. Now it is reported from negotiating circles that no agreement will be reached. However, the negotiations are not officially over yet.
