On Tuesday night there was a violent altercation between two passengers and a bus driver on a bus in Vienna-Leopoldstadt. The employee was able to alert the police just in time to prevent worse matters. Since then, a passenger has been on the run.
As the bus drove down Wehilstraße, a completely drunk 36-year-old passenger panicked and threatened to kill the bus driver. When another passenger noticed the incident, he got in and attacked the 36-year-old with punches. As a result, he was slightly injured.
Suspect fugitive
The driver immediately stopped the bus and alerted the police. However, the unknown criminal managed to escape before the police arrived. Since then there has been no trace of him. However, the ruthless 36-year-old was detained by the officials. During the arrest, the insults continued and he threatened not only the bus driver but also the police officers with murder.
Alcohol test indicated 2.38 per thousand
After receiving urgent medical attention from a Viennese rescue service on site, he again attacked and threatened the police. He was then temporarily arrested. A breathalyzer test showed a value of no less than 2.38 promille. During the interrogation, the suspect did not confess. He was generally reported.
