AquaWatt has developed its own flat water boat for Lake Neusiedl. Now the first boat has been launched.
“The battery is already on fire,” says Dieter Zens happily. This refers to the new flat water boat, which was specially developed for Lake Neusiedl and has now completed the first rounds from the Oggauer Hafen. As reported, a draft of only 15 centimeters is possible with the boat. The outboard motor can be driven almost completely out of the water by means of a hydraulic system and can also be used at low water. There are also no problems with cooling, since internal cooling is used. With the electric motor, an hour of full throttle driving is possible. The power is 13 kW.
By boat to the huts on the lake
The aluminum boat was developed by the company AquaWatt from Carinthia, Zens has the representative office at Lake Neusiedl and will also provide maintenance and repairs in the future. He definitely sees the need for light watercraft. It is still not possible to reach some sea huts by boat. But according to Zens, the special development is also interesting for professionals.
Price: 70,000 euros
Of course, the boat has its price: about 70,000 euros must be paid. There are already initial studies, says AquaWatt director Dieter Seebacher. Moreover, the development of the water level shows which way things are going, adds Zens. “We won’t be the only ones offering something like this in the future,” he says with conviction.
The boat in Oggau can be bought, but mainly serves as a visual object. Depending on the order, buyers may receive their boat in March.
