Shortly before midnight on Saturday, a police patrol noticed a car in Reutte that suddenly accelerated without any reason. When the officers gave chase, it appeared that the driver stopped his car in the “Kög” area. When the officers got out to check, the driver accelerated again and fled.
Check performed after tracking
After a ten-minute chase through the towns of Reutte and Ehenbichl, the driver was finally stopped and checked in Weißenbach am Lech. It involved a 40-year-old Dutchman with a 29-year-old man in the passenger seat.
Cocaine seized, driver’s license missing
An alcohol test carried out on site showed an alcohol content of 0.61 promille. Officers also found 1.5 grams of cocaine in the driver’s footwell. This was secured. The driver’s license of the Dutchman was confiscated. He is accused of numerous offenses. The investigation into suspected violations under the Narcotics Act is still ongoing.
