On Friday morning, a motorist in Graz-Eggenberg collided with an electric cargo bike that was being driven by a woman. Two children were transported in the cargo bike. The cyclist and the boy riding with him suffered bruises, the driver of the car was involved in a collision.
Shortly after 9 a.m., the 38-year-old from Graz rode her electric cargo bike on Georgigasse out of town. She transported her children, a 6-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl, in the wooden box on the cargo bike. At the intersection with Schlossstrasse, she stopped her bike and looked left and right. The motorist coming from the left, coming from Schlossstraße, stopped and the woman continued her journey after making eye contact with the motorist.
For unknown reasons, the 61-year-old driver, also from Graz, suddenly drove away, collided with the cargo bike and moved it about a meter. The man continued his journey and left the scene of the accident without stopping.
